Les ENnies Awards, autrement dit les Oscars du jeu de rôle, qui sont remis traditionnellement lors de la GenCon ont honoré cette année un »grand ancien » du jeu de rôle, Chaosium, et une compagnie aussi discrète qu’atypique, Tuesday Night Games.
Alors que le jeu de rôle Alien RPG fait le buzz sur Internet (à raison car le jeu de Free League Publishing déchire), Tuesday Knight Games et son jeu de rôle d’horreur-SF qui évoque grandement l’univers d’Alien a remporté l’enviée catégorie Best Game avec Mothership: Player’s Survival Guide (devant l’OVNI Dialect: A Game about Language and How it Dies, chef Thorny Games. On retrouve le jeu à la seconde place dans la catégorie la plus prestigieuse, c’est à dire Best Adventure. A noter que si vous êtes intéressé par ce lauréat, vous pouvez télécharger sur drivethrurpg.com (pour une participation financière qui est laissée à votre appréciation), une version bêta de Mothership.
Si TKG est surement heureux de cette remise 2019 des ENnies Awards, que dire de Chaosium, qui a récolté un grand nombre de récompenses avec Call of Cthulhu (Product of the Year, Best Adventure et Best Aid avec Masks of Nyarlathotep, Best Rules avec Call of Cthulhu Starter Set, Best Art »Cover’‘ avec Terror Australis 2E) mais aussi RuneQuest (Best Art »Interior et Best Supplement avec The Glorantha Sourcebook).
A noter que Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Core Rulebook (Cubicle Seven) ramasse la catégorie Best Writing, et que Forbidden Lands récolte quelques récompenses. Le jeu de Free League Publishing (également récompensé pour Kult et Symbaroum) est le dauphin de Masks of Nyarlathotep dans la catégorie reine Product of the Year et de Call of Cthulhu Starter Set dans la catégorie Best Rules, et remporte les catégories Best Production Value (en gros, même mise en valeur des moyens) et Best Cartography.
Le prix Best Family Game revient à Kids of Bike,de Renegade Game Studios)
